No more battling ice in the birdbath or buckets with this efficient de-icer. Made of cast aluminum for long-term efficiency and performance, it has a non-stick coating to reduce corrosion and eliminate lime buildup. Plus, because it's thermostatically controlled, it costs just pennies to operate. Designed for multiple uses around the home and farm, it's safe for birdbaths as well as buckets, small animal waterers and 15-gallon stock tanks. It, like most quality de-icers, is okay to use in a heavy plastic birdbath dish. Like similar heaters, it will work best if you make sure you keep water in the bath. It has a 5½' power cord and submergible design.
