As gardeners, we look forward to spring all winter long, so why not welcome it with abundant, huge flowers? Horn of Plenty Clematis features colossal Clematis flowers that appear in early spring on this medium-sized plant, with color that holds up well to the warming sun. Once established, Horn of Plenty can produce colossal flowers 7 inches or more across. This beauty blooms in a deep mauve with pink highlights that will bloom from spring into summer, and if selecting for cut flowers, pair with pink flowers to highlight the nuanced color of the mid rib.

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the YELLOW pruning category.  Yellow prune Clematis flower best on old vine. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering.
