Spring Hill presents Fragrant Lavender
Spring Hill Nursery's fragrant lavender is a wonderful plant for every garden! In this video, Spring Hill's gardening expert showcases the glorious plant and sheds light on its unique features and varied uses.
TranscriptHi, I'm Debbie with Spring Hill, and oh, I wish you could smell what I'm smelling! This fragrant lavender is intoxicating. Okay, so as a decorative plant, this is a wonderful plant in zones 5 to 8. It'll keep coming back each year. It gets about 18 to 24 inches tall, so it's wonderful as a mini hedge or even a border plant along the front of your flower beds. And of course, you can't talk about lavender without thinking of all the aroma therapy applications. Once the blooms come into bloom, then you've got these wonderful flowers that you can use in dry flower arrangements or even little sachets, or you can put it in your bath water. And from a culinary point of view, lavender is actually one of the primary herbs used in Herbs de Provence, so, if you enjoy French cooking, then this is the herb for you. Or, of course, if you just want to go out like I do and just kind of rub the leaves a little and stick your fingers up to your nose, you'll get this wonderful soothing, relaxing feeling. So, this fragrant lavender comes in both blue and pink. So, whatever your color preference, find it at Spring Hill.
