Like a cup of summertime sangria, Watermelon Wine evokes the party atmosphere of the warmest months. Itoh peonies, created by crossing tree peonies and herbaceous varieties, deliver both striking blooms and sturdy, hardy plants. Watermelon Wine is both beautiful and strong, opening in midsummer with large flowers that last and last. These blooms nearly glow with their bright, watermelon-red tone offset by bright yellow stamens. Like many Itohs, Watermelon Wine grows to a perfect compact and amazingly bushy habit.
