Gaillardia blooms are always a fun summer treat, but these take the cake with their fluted petals. They stay low, around 18-24" at maturity, and make some noise at the front of the border, creating a distinctive edge to separate the gardening from the lawn. This trio is also a good choice for container gardening, because these varieties have that level of interest you'd need to make a potted plant fill out a space. They're low and loud enough for a window box, too. But the best part is how long you'll have blooms. It's no good if your window box planting or front border feature gives out halfway through the season. For the Summer Trumpets Gaillardia Collection, you just need to keep up with deadheading and sheer them back after their done blooming the first time, and you'll promote a continuous summer show. If you want perennials, be sure their soil drains quickly, especially in winter. Once established, these three will tolerate drought, but they don't like soggy feet. Other than that, they're easy, fast and a delight to grow. Collection includes 1 of Gaillardia grandiflora 'Fanfare Blaze' and 2 of Aristata 'Copper Sun'
