There's nothing like that first quiet walk on the morning after a snowfall--piles of fluffy white create a serene and private experience. This rugosa rose, one of the best for creating a luxurious thicket in the garden, allows that same feeling. Snow Pavement Shrub Rose has a strong clove-like fragrance typical of rugosas, and the classic five-petaled flowers that are a signature of this type of shrub roses. White-to-soft-pink, semi-double flowers are beautiful en masse or in the landscape, and this rose reblooms from spring to late summer. In fall, you'll enjoy stunning red rosehips. Excellent disease resistance to downy & powdery mildew as well as rust, and hardy down to Zone 3. ROSA 'SNOW PAVEMENT' PPAF

  • planting instructionsDig a hole large enough to easily accommodate root structure. In cold climates, position the graft knot/crown 2 to 3 inches below ground level, in mild climates, position the graft knot/crown right at ground level. Place the plant at the proper height in the hole, and fill two-thirds full with the amended soil. Using a gentle stream of water, fill the remainder of the hole. As the water seeps in, it will moisten the roots and surrounding soil, removing any air pockets. After the water has completely settled, fill the hole to the top with the remaining soil. Sprinkle lightly with water to assure good moisture.
  • pruningRemoving spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun. Remove any dead or damaged branches.
