The Shiryukyo Iris, featuring an attractive yellow eye and violet flowers, with a deep purple outline around the eye signal, is the product of years of planning and breeding. Pseudata irises are a cross between our native pseudacorus iris and the Japanese ensata iris, bringing the best of both worlds to a single flower. Pseudatas blend the vigorous growth and high bud count of the wild psudacorus iris, without its aggressive spread, with the Japanese ensata making it ideal for wet areas and rain gardens. A perfect flower for those spots in your landscape that don't drain well, Shiryukyo is excellent for naturalizing in bogs and marshy areas. Iris pseudata 'Shiryukyo'
