This astilbe is elegant and bold both in bloom and out of bloom, a statement-making perennial for ground cover or edging when planted in clusters. With a mature height of under two feet, Rheinland makes a picturesque perennial for front-of-border blooms or for lining a bed or walkway. The plumes are also excellent in cut-flower arrangements.
