Abundant blossoms last for several weeks, appearing in early spring as creamy buds before opening to their full glory. With highly fragrant blooms on large panicles, this lilac is a great choice as a foundation plant or in a mixed shrub border. Try allowing a Clematis or other lightweight vining plant to climb the limbs of this tall variety, and create a dramatic display.
