These fully double flowers with unusual coloration were developed in England and are prized for the underlying blue coloration in the violet petals. The flowers are enormous—up to 8-10" across—and are produced nearly non-stop from midsummer until first frost. Dahlias are amazingly carefree, and with few pests or diseases to trouble them, they satisfy beginner and expert gardeners alike. Plant them in the middle or back of a border, and they'll reward you with color in the late summer when other perennials and annuals have completed their show. They're long lived in cut-flower arrangements, too, lasting 7-10 days with ease. Easy-to-grow dahlias are not bothered by deer, rabbits or other garden pests. Dahlia decorative 'Lilac Time'
