Measuring only ten feet in height at maturity, the cascading branches of this small Japanese Maple tree can spread up to twelve feet in width. The harmony of smooth bark and intricate, lace-like foliage stand out on the well-branched form of tree. Foliage emerges deep purple in springtime, maturing to a purple-red color and ending the season in firey bright tones. A colorful, low-maintenance tree, Inaba Shidare makes an excellent specimen or street tree, and is unbothered by black walnut trees nearby. Acer palmatum var. dissectum 'Inaba Shidare'
