Want to grow your own apples but don't have the space for an orchard? You can grow this tree in less than a two square foot area. It will stand ramrod straight, with apples close to the trunk—a conversation starter in a patio pot or a rooftop garden. First, you'll see pretty pink and white spring flowers that attract pollinators. Then, crisp, golden, medium–size apples ripen by mid–September. The texture is firm and the taste is slightly tart, which is useful in baking and delicious in a fresh salad. Golden Treat will need to be planted with another variety for cross pollination. To keep the spread small, you could choose from our other Urban Apple® trees—Tasty Red™ or Blushing Delight™. Using two trees, you could be the first in your neighborhood to frame an entryway with columns of apples. Urban Apple® trees are all highly disease resistant selections.
