Hens & Chicks are popular for a wide range of gardening, décor and DIY uses. They perform just as exceptionally on a rooftop garden or rock wall as they do in container gardens and as a ground cover. If you want to enjoy a stylish landscape but don't have much time for maintenance, Forest Frost Hens & Chicks may be just the accent you're looking for. They are very easy to grow—thriving on neglect. They're tolerant of heat, drought, and rarely bothered by deer. Forest Frost is unusual and eye-catching, the tight rosettes spun in cobweb-like threads. It has an interesting life cycle. The "hen" produces more and more "chicks". Eventually, the hen grows taller, creates a little cluster of blooms, and fades. The chicks will then grow and fill in where the hen was. To increase the spread of your Forest Frost, you can replant chicks in a new location. Sempervivum 'Forest Frost'
