A profuse-flowering grandiflora Coreopsis, Early Sunrise shows off large flowers--and plenty of them. Plants form a low mound of leathery green leaves, and, by summer, they'll be coated with sunny golden-yellow flowers that last for weeks on end. Removing faded flowers regularly will encourage blooming to continue into the fall. Like many coreopsis, this beautify is truly tolerant of hot, and humid summer climates. Excellent for borders, as well as in containers, Early Sunrise Coreopsis is a cheery addition to the garden and to cut flower arrangements. Attractive to butterflies, too.
