- Longtime favorite for xeriscaping
For those who live in the Southwest, this unique perennial is a longtime favorite for xeriscaping. Now you can enjoy the exotic beauty and carefree nature of Cobweb Hens & Chicks. You'll love the thick succulent, blue-green leaves on the large "hen" rosettes as well as the small "chick" rosettes that sprout from the plant. This particular variety features fine hairlike webs that cover the plant from tip to tip. Midsummer brings rose-pink, starlike blooms that grow from short, upright stems. Extremely drought tolerant and winter hardy, this sempervivum gives an unusual, but very pretty look to sun-splashed borders and beds. Plant them amid similarly maintained selections for a "dry bed" mixed container garden that's sure to turn heads. Sempervivum 'Cobweb'
