The name is a mouthful, but well worth the effort for fans of double clematis. Bred in Sweden, this shining white confection is rarely seen in the United States.. With an intriguing ruffled form, the sepals are stacked, creating the appearance of a layered wedding cake. Early flowers show a pale green midrib that mature to a pristine white, with a kiss of pink of the sepals' reverse. Attractive yellow centers highlight the brightness of the white sepals and is best grown on a support, and can be planted along arches, obelisks, or fencing. A medium plant with large flowers, it is a truly unique and charming double clematis. Clematis 'KBK02'
In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the YELLOW category. It blooms best on old vines. Use caution when pruning to retain healthy stems from last season for best flowering.
