A refined fall-blooming Aster to quench your thirst for color, Grape Crush Aster features a classic, round, mounded form, covered in densely-packed flowers. Very rich, dark purple blooms are produced above dark green foliage in early to midfall. An excellent specimen, Grape Crush hasn't displayed the tendency to lodge--a phenomenon in which stems become misplaced or bent--during growth trials. These tough plants can handle the first chilly, dry weather of fall, and come back year after year in Zones 3 through 8.
