A stunning, high-color Clematis in Tourmaline jewel tones, Ristimagi absolutely sparkles in bright blue-purple, with deep pink accents. The latest of our Estonian-bred Clematis, you can count on a fully hardy, free-flowering plant that befits its Eastern European upbringing. Ristimagi features gorgeous Tourmaline-lavender flowers with deep pink accents. The flowers are charmingly cupped upon opening. These highly-saturated blooms open wider upon maturation to show gorgeous wheaten-colored centers that contrast well with the heavily-pigmented sepals. You'll admire the flirtatious ruffling on the outer edges of each flower as this Clematis sparkles in the sun.

Ristimagi performs well in full sun, and its richly-saturated sepals hold their color well. Deadhead your early flowers to help the floral show last longer. Excellent on a mid-border trellis or obelisk, or as anchor on the side of an arch, this mid-sized plant with large flowers plays well with other Clematis. Pair with a differentiated flower form, like I Am Happy, and you'll create a living bouquet in the garden. Clematis 'Ristimagi'

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the GREEN pruning category. These Clematis bloom on new vines that emerge from the ground each year or stems from near the bottom of older vines. Prune hard in the spring and as often as you like to encourage reblooming and keep the plant as tidy as you like.
