Golden Dwarf Japanese Yew starts the spring with a brilliant goldenrod color. The older, needle-like foliage will simmer to dark green, allowing the bright new growth to stand out against it. This yew is great for a mixed border full of medium and darker greens, because its bright color will stand out making the whole display more dynamic. It has an eye-catching habit, too, spreading out instead of growing tall. It'll fill up a bare spot easily, and this is the kind of plant you really want as a filler. It's easy and adaptable, tolerates shade and resists burning in sun, and is evergreen. So all year round, you've got some gorgeous color in an otherwise empty space.
