- 50% more blooms than a #1 bareroot in the first year
The traditional red rose looks even more romantic weaving up trellises or trailing over an archway. At this height, and with the sizzling red color, Blaze will likely be the first thing your visitors will spot, setting a lovely Tuscan scene right off the bat. We have exciting news—our growers have outdone themselves this year with a small batch of extraordinary bareroots, including limited quantities of Blaze Improved Climbing Rose. These are 2-3 times the size of the industry's top grade. You see, roses are prized for romantic landscape design, but it takes time to get even a premium-quality bareroot rose to bloom fully. That's what makes these Jumbo Roses so exciting; they deliver 150% more flowers in the first year than any other bareroot on the market can give you, guaranteed. Our new jumbo roses—a bareroot grade totally exclusive to Spring Hill Nurseries®, are hand selected and professionally trimmed for an extraordinary first flush in your garden. Quickly replace an old variety, or start your first foray in roses and look like a natural. Rosa 'Blaze'

- planting instructionsDig a hole large enough to easily accommodate root structure. Place a small 'hill' of soil at the bottom of the hole. Place the plant at the proper height in the hole, and fill two-thirds full with soil. Using a gentle stream of water, fill the remainder of the hole. As the water seeps in, it will moisten the roots and surrounding soil, removing any air pockets. After the water has settled, fill hole to the top with the remaining soil. Sprinkle lightly with water to assure good moisture.
- pruningOn established plants removing spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun
