Sidalcea hybrida ‘Brilliant’

These flowers are very pretty in the back of my bed. I did have my heart set on red, but have come to love them despite the mauve color. Do remember to cut them back after blooming to prevent having them all over your flower bed (unless that's what you want)

Only 2 months after planting they are tall and have many stems. Hummingbirds have also come. I agree they are purple pink, but they match my cone flowers well.

More pink than red

The three plants I put in all took beautifully. When they bloomed, the flowers were definitely more of a purplish pink than red. This doesn't matter to me, but it's something to keep in mind if you have your heart set on a red flowering plant.

I just ordered these beauties this spring and they are already blooming. This is a fast grower. I am very impressed. Definitely more of a pink color but it's a pretty lil thang.

Nothing but trouble. Rabbits wouldn't leave it alone no matter what I did. Barely bloomed. Not really red. I pulled it out of the ground the same season.
