Planting Requirements: Set at the same level it is growing at in the container. Firm well and water in thoroughly.
Soil Requirements: Good drainage is important. Fertile, moisture retentive soil.
Growth Rate: Slow to establish which can take 6-8 weeks. Fast once established to location.
 
Unique Characteristics: This large flowering clematis is a perfect addition to a trellis, porch, arbor or lamp post. The beautiful flower resembles a Passion Flower bloom.
Pruning: Blooms on new, current year's growth. This plant benefits from a hard prune above the second and third bud set.

Not what I expected

Gorgeous fast growing vine. Flowers do not last long but keep coming. Spread like wild fire and was so hardy ---UNTIL winter. Died in zone 6A. So sad to see it go. Have to move!
