..but not bunny resistant.

I had to wait to plant until the plants for the back of the bed arrived. Primroses did wonderful in their packaging for 9 days (wantered them of course). I bought them for their deer/rabbit resistance. They're in the ground and growing, but the bunnies are eating the leaves. No flowers yet, so we'll see how they do through the spring.

These plants are definitely hardy in zone 5. We had several nights below zero this winter and all three are growing. Two even have flowers. They seem to like my shady clay soil.

primrose and forget it

living in a zone where spring and early summer can last for 4-5 months. The non persnicity primrose is a dream. They don't like direct sun, but love shade and alot of water. They need to remain very moist at all times. A high grade of soil will only pay off with beautiful blooms. Keep the frost off with night covers on the occastional cool night.Great for early spring indoor window sills. I line all my kitchen windows from March till May. Hardy and always a joy.
