If it is completely shaded, others are most likely watering them too much and they ended up rotting away. I bought this shade garden almost 5 years ago. The Fox glove is a Biennial which means it only lasts for 2 seasons. The primrose were not doing so well so I dug them up & now they are house plants.
This was the second time I tried to do a preplanned shade garden. Both times the over 2/3 the plants died. The area I planted them in is extremely shady. I watered and fertilized. I'm tired of wasting my money on these shade gardens that truly dissappoint.
anyone having a hard time growing plants according to plan should always have a soil test done . UCCONN will do them for under $10.00. Do not assume everything grows just because you plant them. Soil prep is very important!!!!
I bought the shade garden and a flowering garden last year. Both gardens arrived with plants in very poor condition. I tried to bring them to fruition but all died - I asked for a replacement. I will leave another review based on my second try!
I bought this garden several years ago, the astilbe & bleeding heart never bloomed. The foxgloves were beautiful but only last 2 seasons, the lily of the valley only bloomed once. Very disappointed.
I have tried the shade gardens three time with no success. Theis year, I had two plants to come back but both died during the summer. This has been such a disappointment and waste of money.
