I grew a bunch of lavender last year and dried it, put it in a sock and gave it to my family as a Christmas gift. They totally loved it!

I purchased the Blue Fragrant Lavender last year for my Recycle Garden (where I keep my Jesus statue) and must say, the fragrance could be fragranted from the neighbors yard! The plants were pretty "sticky" when they were delivered but doubled in size with a week! My only complaint is that the flowers atttract many bees and butterflies, which in turn attracted a lot of birds, and the birds pooped all over my statue. So, if you don't mind having things pooped on, I COMPLETELY recommend these flowers!!
