This is great. We ordered kinda late, so it didn't arrive until Mid June. Its just now the beginning of September and its already 3 feet tall. This is a beautiful bush!
I have 3 of these shrubs along the side of our home. They smell wonderful and do attract many butterflies. The blooms are such a deep purple they are nearly black. They are not quite as robust as I would like, but it may be due to the neighbor's growing trees blocking more and more sunlight
Took a while to get started, had a few mini flowers the first year, but the second year, WOW! Very nice! The color of the flowers is lighter than you think, but so vibrant and pretty, and HUGE!
I received in early June and planted right away. Within two weeks, it had nearly doubled in size and had multiple beautiful purple blooms on it. I just went away on vacation for a week and I feel like it doubled in size again and continues to bloom. I love it. :)
I love this butterfly bush, I did not buy mine for SpringHill, but none the less it is so beautiful! The dark purple panicles just started blooming on mine this week, and I just cant stop looking at it! Mine is a little over 5'tall, and I have never cut mine back. I cant bear to.
I planted this late-April. This week (7/1)I noticed buds (about 12-15), and one of them is purple already. I can hardly wait until all the buds bloom purple and get bigger. Also, I wasn't sure this would do well in So. Cal. and it seems to be fine.
