I would like to say that I purchased 12 Blue Hydrangeas from Springhill about 20 YEARS ago. I planted them under the canopy of pine trees aand they were always beautiful. Some years they had more blooms than others but were always good. Several times when I was out in the yard people would stop their cars and ask what I did to make them so beautiful with so many blooms. We moved this winter and sadly I had to leave them at the house. However, I did drive by and they were again covered with blooms. I plan to buy some for our new home.
Hydrangea's are fussy. They do not like direct sun. We have one of these and it loves the north and northeast side of the house. Early morning and late afternoon sun.
