I bought two of these plants and early in the season they seemed to have been doing nicely. However, after a short time all the flowers began to flop. I did put supports but they just began looking very sloppy. Did have much luck with these.
I bought three plants three years ago. I probably planted them too close together (follow the instructions!) I have a magnificent mound of dense, long-lasting blooms. I can't believe how full and gorgeous they are. I've added grow-through supports this year. They can be top-heavy. Love that salvia!
So many things to say about the Salvia.

2 They look great next to my new drive way
3 So happy how big and how long they bloom.
